Former SEC Exam Manager Adam Shatek Joins HighCamp

Denver, CO – September 8, 2025HighCamp Compliance, a boutique employee-owned compliance consulting and outsourcing firm, today announced the addition of Adam Shatek, CFA as Director. Based in Denver, Adam joins from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he most recently served as Examination Manager in the Division of Examinations. Over his 12 years with the SEC’s Denver and Chicago offices, Adam led more than 250 investment adviser examinations, resulting in significant investor recoveries and numerous enforcement referrals.

Prior to the SEC, Adam worked for nearly six years at Credit Suisse Securities as an equity research analyst and for two years in KPMG’s Transaction Services practice. Adam also served for six years in the United States Army Reserve earning the rank of sergeant. Lastly, Adam holds an inactive Certified Public Accountant license.

With nearly 20 years of SEC and private-sector experience, Adam brings a deep understanding of financial markets, Federal securities laws, and compliance issues to the HighCamp team and our clients. “We are thrilled to welcome Adam to the team and to share his extensive SEC experience with our clients. With Adam’s addition, five members of HighCamp’s senior team – Founding Partner Brad Burgtorf, Partner Colleen Marencik, Partner Jeremy Vaughan, and Director Brian Caravello – bring prior SEC experience. In addition, three of HighCamp’s Senior Advisors also served at the SEC.
